Rules concerning the tax receipt
Since 2011 every person who makes a donation (between 01 January and 31 December of the same year) to Oxfam, the annual total of which is at least 40 € minimum, is entitled to a tax receipt.
Pass this information on to all your team-members as well as to your sponsors!
The other rules concerning tax receipts still apply. For donations made in 2020, Oxfam will automatically issue your tax receipt in March 2021.
If you have an average salary, this tax receipt will enable you to claim back about 45% of your donation on your tax returns (the percentage that you can claim back depends on your revenue based income tax bracket).
Tax receipts are issued to all persons who individually donated to the Oxfam account or by using your team page online.
Donations from groups of people, or resulting from a collective fundraising action do not generate a tax receipt.
