Volunteers

Oxfam Trailwalker isn't just a sports event for Oxfam Solidarity, it also promises to become a weekend full of enjoyment. On August 30 and 31 people from all over the country and even from the entire world will do their best to provide a better life for other people. Together with a team of volunteers you can make sure everything runs smoothly and everyone gets the support he or she needs.

The competitors could use a lot of encouragement, so therefore we're looking for people who're willing to give them a heads up on the track. You can congratulate them for the number of kilometres they've already walked, maybe applaud for a moment, ... All small gestures with a large message.

But also logistically Oxfam Trailwalker is a challenge. Therefore a few extra hands can lessen the workload. What should all be done, for example: check the track, man the control points, organize the temporary camping spot near the start, build the stage and the finish, build showers and toilet facilities, prepare the registrations of the teams at the start, give proper directions to hikers at unclear places, ... In short, too much to sum up here, meaning all help is more than welcome!

We're also looking for people with specific abilities:

- If
you have a first-aid degree, you can use your knowledge to help hikers and visitors with minor injuries.

  • •l  - Are you a physiotherapist or do you know several massage techniques? Maybe you can treat tired muscles of the hikers then.

•l  - Are you a genius when it comes to administration? Then you're the person we're looking for to handle the registration at the start and finish.

Enthusiastic people who're willing to devote themselves for a weekend, a day or even a few hours to a project that aspires after more solidarity with the South are very welcome! And with the staff of Oxfam Solidarity we'll make this weekend unforgettable with an enjoyable barbecue on Friday evening.

Apply as a volunteer and we'll keep you updated.
See you soon!
